MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Another year come and gone..... feels like we moved to Oklahoma this summer, we blinked and it was holiday time. What a great year! We bought our first home, and our main focus since then has been fixing it up. Little projects here and there have really helped to make it look and feel much better! We've never loved being home bodies more than we do now. Home is our favorite! Our first big project will be this winter, we're getting all the windows replaced, should be awesome. We hope to get some animals in the Spring, so it will be like a real farm!
We of course, were sent to Oklahoma per the Air Force because Caleb re-trained into a new field. He went from being a linguist to now flying air crew on the AWAX planes. He was in training for the first few months we were here, but just started flying a few weeks ago and loves it!
April got a job in November, back in the property management biz! It's with a local company that manages a couple hundred houses in the area. It's been going really well, and she really enjoys it!
Sugar & Gus are really becoming buddies. It's so cute how they like to be together all the time. Gus is getting to that very scary puppy age though. He's now taller than Sugar, is about 45 lbs, and his latest trick is getting his front paws on the kitchen counter to check things out! Yikes! And of course he thinks the trash is a cool toy bin as well. Needless to say, we're keeping a close eye on him these days.
But really, that's been us this year. We're just excited to see what's in store for 2010, we sure hope that the Lord's plans include us starting our family. :-) I hope everyone is doing well, and that you all have a Great New year!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Dogs at the Lake!

We live only 10 minutes from Draper Lake, it's great! We finally took the dogs yesterday, and it was chilly and muddy, but they had a blast! Sugar of course is a swimming machine, but Gus is scared of the water. Caleb eventually threw him in! Gus will get used to it eventually I guess.

Caleb's Music!

Check him out!

Now for some Fun, at the Oklahoma State Fair!

We had a great time at the Oklahoma State fair! We ate junk food, got on plenty of crazy rides, and saw some fun shows. And of course..... Caleb's favorite part was all the livestock. Awesome Fair!

The Pig races were hilarious!

Coming along with the improvements......

Here's before/ after pics of the living room.

2 weeks ago Judd (Caleb's Dad) and his wife Anna came to Oklahoma for a visit and as a house warming gift replaced our back door! It was a great visit, and we LOVE our new door! It lets more light into the room with the bigger window, and it has a Dog Door! What a fantastic invention that is! Now the dogs let themselves out, and it's one less thing to think about! Thanks again Judd for the new door!

Coming soon..... pictures of the kitchen cabinets, they are being refinished. I thought the job was going to be easy, but it's turning into a very lengthy process.

HOME OWNER LESSON # 112: If you're attempting a project get twice the supplies you think you need and allow 3 times the amount of time you think it's going to take! :-)

Flight suit!

Caleb got his new flight suit recently! It's a completely different uniform than he's been wearing for 8 years, and it's the most coveted uniform in the Air Force, so it's very exciting (and very handsome!)  He'll be flying on planes in October, so he's definitely looking forward to that too. Lot's of exciting changes lately!

First Blog Post

So we've decided to set up a blog to keep everyone updated on us even without a facebook or myspace account, it just seems easier this way for now. Life has been great out here in Oklahoma! We've just hit the 1 month mark of being out here, it's hard to believe! For those who don't know our house is a simple 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath  with 1 car garage. The best part is that we're on 4.5 acres! And the location is almost too good to be true only 10 min to Tinker AFB (where Caleb works)   So with much painting, yard work, and home projects behind us, there's still plenty to do- but it's work that we don't mind at this point.
So we'll post pics as things come along.
Also, we got a new puppy the day after we moved in! His name is Gus and he's a little sweetie. He's a lab/catahula mix and Sugar is still undecided how she feels about him. It's interesting to see their relationship changing, but Sugar is still not convinced that he's part of the family. In time I suppose.
